We flew out from Charlottetown to Toronto, then from Toronto to Calgary. Flying was amazing, aside from the fact that my ears killed every time we landed. We got into Calgary at 11 their time, 2 a.m. our time. My mom and uncle Lyndon picked us up and we drove back to his house where we met his wife Barb and their three kids. Being thoroughly jet-lagged we went to bed. The next day we went shopping a bit, to the IMAX and then out for supper.

The next day we drove for five hours to Swift Current to stay at my grandma's for the night. The next morning we packed up the van and drove to my grandpa's old farm that my uncle farms now.

From the farm we drove to Elbow which is this tiny town where our family reunion was. The downtown mostly looks like this:

We were in some big condo-resort-complex thing where each family had seperate rooms that were all connected

I actually had a lot of fun just hanging out and getting to see family, most of whom I hadn't seen in 7 years and a lot I'd never met before. There was some volleyball and swimming, neither of which I participated in. I did learn how to play bocce ball and was okay at that. Andrea and I also played some strange table shuffle board game in the common room.

We ran out of water on the second day, the whole town did. So we had no water anywhere, eventually they started setting times when the water would be on for an hour and then shut off again for a few hours so we all had our tubs, coffee makers and tea pots filled with water.

After the reunion we drove to Regina and stayed with my aunt tracey and uncle mervin in their big super nice house. We met up with my cousin Michelle from my dad's side and went for a walk in Wascana park by the parliament buildings.

The next morning we got up at 4 a.m. and drove to the airport to catch our 6 a.m. flight. We almost didn't get through security. So we cut in front of everyone else. Flying home was a lot less exciting than flying there and we got delayed for an hour in the toronto airport.
